'Alesis A6 Andromeda Keyboard Synthesizer. Shipped with UPS Ground. This is a brand new, still in box, unused synthesizer. I bought it to use in a band that never happened. It has been plugged in twice. When I fist bought it I plugged it in pushed a few buttons to see what they do, then boxed it up. The Andromeda A6 is a true analog synthesizer using two analog oscillators per voice. Andromeda comes with 256 breathtaking preset patches plus 128 user.
This patch changes the description for the birthsigns you can choose at the beginning of the game using so that they match the descriptions from . Both of these mods are required for my patch to be useful.Note: If you install the 'Permanent Birthsigns' esp from Character Creation Overhaul, it removes the standing stones from the game, so you will have to choose your birthsign on Character Creation, otherwise you will not be able to choose one again later. This is not a compatibility issue between the two mods, this is because of Permanent Birth Signs. If you want to change your birthsign by activating standing stones as usual, DO NOT activate Permanent Birthsigns!

Sounded alright but left me with the feeling that despite its high specs, it was less than the sum of its parts. My main problems with it were also the filter, which is pretty much the heart of any synth for me, and too much menu diving for things. The envelope generators were overly complicated, about 20 knobs and another 20 buttons just for the envelopes! Simple ADSRs work fine. The parallel paths of the direct and filtered audio was another needless complication, a few other people I know have also said that the A6 went overboard with fancy features which nobody used, they should have kept it a bit more simple. And lastly, it's really ugly looking. It looks like a prop from the film Hackers. I don't know whats up with the filters.
Was checking the filters with a default sawtooth via spectrogram and found no really big differences between switched on 'open' filter and bypass. They are oberheim and moog reproductions right? They sound great to me.and yes, it is a complex one. You can go deep in the envelope configuration which is great for drums and other experiments, but its no problem just to use the simple one.
You can use it like a simple synth without looking really much in the manual. Complexity comes withe mode knobs, the help of the screen etc. I'm using the final one, v1.40.13b, without any problems. The patches from Alesis are not really great, but there are a few gems in it. You'll have to dig through them to identify them.I put all the patches from around the net that I could find in an archive for you to d/l if you want:Beware of the folder named 'Vorsicht', the patches in here seem to crash the A6 occasionly.I've also put the 1.40.13b OS in the archive in case you don't already have it. And a few Tips and Tricks documents.
